Pof Pof

These are fried yummy balls made mainly from flour and yeast. Its golden brown colour and soothing taste makes you want to keep eating and you wonder who discovered it

  • 1 1/2 tbsp. Yeast
  • A pinch of Salt
  • 4 tbsp. Sugar
  • 4 c Flour
  • 2 1/2 c Warm Water
  • 1 Fresh Egg
  • 1/4 tsp. Nutmeg, ground


  1. Mix the yeast and sugar in a bowl
  2. Add 1 cup of warm water
  3. Leave for 30 mins
  4. Sift the flour, nutmeg and salt
  5. Add the yeast mixture into the dry ingredients
  6. Add the egg and the rest of the water
  7. Mix well with your fingers
  8. Leave in a bowl and cover with a cloth to rise for about an hour
  9. Deep frying only
  10. Put your pot on fire and allow the oil to be hot
  11. Wet your finger tips and scoop with it small balls into the hot oil
  12. Allow space for rising
  13. When golden brown, drain out and serve
