  • 1 kg Beef/ Chicken/Goatmeat
  • 1 Onions, chopped
  • 1 c Palm oil
  • 3 Seasoning cubes
  • 2 c Periwinkle
  • 8 Chilli Pepper
  • 1 c Crayfish, ground
  • 300 g Kpomo
  • 300 g Stockfish
  • 400 g Dried fish
  • 400 g Okro, chopped or pounded
  • 3 c Pumpkin Leaves (Ugwu)/Spinach, nicely chopped
  • Salt to taste


  1. Wash all the ingredients properly
  2. Season and boil the meat to obtain the stock
  3. When the meat is almost soft, add the stockfish and kpomo
  4. Boil your periwinkle in salt water and wash properly
  5. Add about 6cups of water when the stockfish, meat and kpomo are soft
  6. Bring to a boil
  7. Add the grated okro and palm oil and cook for about 5mins
  8. Add the chopped pumpkin leaves, crayfish and seasoning cubes
  9. Boil for another 3 mins and add salt to taste
