Akara
Though it requires more time and care in preparation, this dish is nutritious, affordable and a source of income to many local women. Widely considered for breakfast or dinner and could be eaten with bread,pap, garri or custard
Ingredients
- 2 cups Beans, peeled
- Salt to taste
- 1 Seasoning cube
- Pepper to taste
- 1 Onion bulb
- Vegetable Oil for deep frying
Directions
- Grind the peeled beans with the onions to obtain a very thick paste
- Mix properly with a cube of maggi, salt and pepper
- Scoop into balls and deep fry the beans balls
- Akara is enjoyed fresh and hot
