Though it requires more time and care in preparation, this dish is nutritious, affordable and a source of income to many local women. Widely considered for breakfast or dinner and could be eaten with bread,pap, garri or custard

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Beans, peeled
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Seasoning cube
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 Onion bulb
  • Vegetable Oil for deep frying

Directions

  • Grind the peeled beans with the onions to obtain a very thick paste
  • Mix properly with a cube of maggi, salt and pepper
  • Scoop into balls and deep fry the beans balls
  • Akara is enjoyed fresh and hot
